Abortion funding in Minnesota takes place every two years when the legislature passes the Health and Human Services omnibus budget bill, funding the “Medical Assistance” program which is used to pay for ABORTIONS.
For years, pro-life Minnesotans were kept in the dark about this, as both GOP and DFL lawmakers voted to fund the death of thousands of babies every year in our state.
Some on the “pro-life” side of the issue try to say they HAVE TO pass this abortion funding because of the Doe v Gomez court opinion from the 1990s.
But the legislature controls the “purse”, not the courts! No court can force a legislature to appropriate money for anything.
We say no more!
